  • The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is providing government dues collection services through its branches (not limited to NBE’s clients) in coordination with the E-Finance company, which is responsible for the operation and management of the Ministry of Finance's (MOF's) Electronic Payment and Collection Unit.
  • This service allows the payment of the following government accruals via the nearest NBE branch:
    • Egyptian Tax Authority (Income & Sales) dues,
    • Egyptian Customs Authority dues,
    • Payment of certain fees of Alexandria Port Authority,
    • Payment of students fees for the following universities:
      • Ain Shams University "all faculties"
      • Cairo University "Faculty of Commerce & Faculty of Science"
      • Fayoum University "all faculties"
      • Suez Canal University "all faculties"
      • Mansoura University "all faculties"
      • South Valley University "all faculties''

 

  • Advantages: 
    • Relieving customers from money transit risks.
    • Carrying out cash payment at any time during the year through the largest network of branches nationwide. 
    • Effecting payment by using all types of credit, debit or pre-paid cards, whether issued by NBE or other banks, via NBE branches.  
    • Debiting customers' accounts held with any NBE branch by means of written instructions.
    • Avoiding the loss of personal/banking/certified cheques.
    • Providing immediate and real-time service with respect to all government payments.
    • Saving time and effort.
    • Servicing all customers (not limited to NBE’s customers).

 

  • Required documentation and work parameters:
    • Egyptian Tax Authority (Income/Sales): the amount specified by the customer is accepted without charging any commissions or banking fees for NBE. A network commission is charged by the MOF's Electronic Payment and Collection Unit with a minimum of EGP 1 and maximum of EGP 50 on a pro rata basis:
      • Income tax: tax file number (TFN) /registration number/authority number.
      • Sales tax: registration number.
      • Withholding under the tax account:  authority number.

 

    • Customs Authority: the amount indicated by the system is accepted and an NBE commission of 1.5 ‰ is charged with a minimum of EGP 10 and maximum of EGP 200, in addition to the network commission of MOF's Electronic Payment and Collection Unit with a minimum of EGP 5 and maximum of EGP 50 on a pro rata basis:
      • The  customs release number is required.

 

    • Depositing in Customs Authority's VIP customers current account: the amount specified by the customer is accepted and an NBE commission of 1.5 ‰ is charged with a minimum of EGP 10 and maximum of EGP 200, in addition to the network commission of MOF's Electronic Payment and Collection Unit with a minimum of EGP 5 and maximum of EGP 50 on a pro rata basis: 
      • The client number, his/her current account number with the Customs Authority and customs port number are required.

 

    • Payment of certain fees of Alexandria Port Authority / El Dekheila: the amount indicated by the system is accepted, and an NBE commission of EGP 10 is charged per payment. No network commission is required for MOF's Electronic Payment and Collection Unit:
      • The claim/port invoice number is required.

 

    • Payment of some universities' fees: the amount indicated by the system is accepted, and an NBE commission of EGP 5 is charged on each payment. No network commission is charged for MOF's Electronic Payment and Collection Unit:
      • The student number or seat number in case of new students is required, specifying the required installment, as well as the name of the university and faculty.
